Social Welfare services
The first obligation of our social welfare services is to ensure that everybody feels safe and to provide a caring space for those who have faced the worst. However, at Mount Meru Hospital we know that healing goes beyond just taking care of physical wounds and is more inclusive of emotional, legal, and social healing.
At Mount Meru Hospital, our Social Welfare services are committed to supporting those who face marginalization: the elderly, children, persons with disabilities, gender-based violence (GBV) survivors, and the sickly as well as addicts. We believe that everyone deserves to access essential services and support.
The Social welfare services are a multi-service center for Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Violence Against Children (VAC) survivors and are a one-stop-shop that caters to the needs of all GBV and VAC victims (survivors).
Specialized Facilities
Our Services features four specialized service rooms:
- Two rooms for Social Welfare Services: Here, our team provides personalized support and resources to individuals in need.
- Medical Treatment Room: This space is dedicated to the immediate medical care of GBV and VAC survivors, ensuring their health and safety.
- Legal Help Room: A dedicated area for legal assistance, empowering survivors with the knowledge and support they need to navigate the legal system.
