MOUNT MERU HOSPITAL CELEBRATES PREMATURE CHILDREN'S DAY

Mount Meru Regional Referral Hospital has celebrated the World Premature Children's Day where the celebrations are held with the aim of celebrating the lives of premature children.

The celebrations have been led by the Medical Officer Incharge of Mount Regional Referral Hospital Dr. Alex Ernest, where he has congratulated the staff of the children's department for continuing to save the lives of children born prematurely while also congratulating various stakeholders who volunteer for the purpose of helping children born prematurely of time.

Dr. Alex has urged the Mount Meru Hospital staff to use this day to remember their important responsibility to serve Tanzanians and save their lives by continuing to provide quality health services to children born prematurely and to all Tanzanians in need of health services.

With that Dr. Alex has thanked the Government of the sixth phase under President Mama Samia Suluhu Hassan for providing money to buy modern equipment to serve children who are born prematurely.

On his part, the Head of the Children's Department at the Regional Referral Hospital of Arusha Mount Meru Dr. Debora Mchaile has explained that this celebration aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by mothers who have children born prematurely.

The celebration which was held at the Arusha Regional Referral Hospital Mount Meru was attended by various people from within the Arusha Region where this year's slogan says "best service anywhere.
