DEPUTY PERMANENT SECRETARY MINISTRY OF HEALTH VISITS ARUSHA REGIONAL REFERRAL HOSPITAL MOUNT MERU

Deputy Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health Hon. Ismael Rumatila has paid a visit to the Arusha Regional Referral Hospital Mount Meru, where he has praised it for providing excellent health services to the citizens of Arusha Region and to Tanzanians in general.
Hon. Ismail Rumatila has said that the Arusha Mount Regional Referral Hospital has become an excellent and exemplary hospital in the provision of excellent services to the people in accordance with the Ministry of Health's policy and thus from that quality, other countries are planning to visit it to learn the various things that lead to achieving that success. .
"The health sector is very important for the well-being of society and you Mount Meru have already shown an example and according to the information I have, there are countries that want to come and learn from here, so congratulations", said Hon. Ismail Rumatila
In addition to this, the Deputy Permanent Secretary has asked the health workers at the Arusha Mount Meru Regional Referral Hospital to work hard and with respect for discipline, personality and honesty in order to continue to honor the Ministry of Health and the government of the Republic.
Initially presenting his speech in front of the Deputy Permanent Secretary , Medical Officer of Arusha Mount Meru Regional Referral Hospital Dr. Alex Ernest has noted the many successes they have achieved including having about 27 expert doctors, buying modern medical equipment, successfully serving a large number of citizens and other successes.
Along with that, Dr. Alex Ernest has said that they have succeeded in making improvements in various areas of providing services such as placing curtains in common wards for each patient's bed to maintain confidentiality during the service.
Dr. Alex Ernest, has said that the development of hospital improvements to a large extent has been more complicated by the government under the leadership of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan through UVICO-19 Funds where the hospital got more than 4 billion shillings, 444 million and 586 lakhs.
In addition, Dr. Alex explained that the money was used to buy ICU equipment worth 770 million shillings, to make modifications to the ICU building for adults and children for 130 shillings, to repair the Internet therapy building for a value of 30 million shillings, to construct a building of emergency patients (EMD) which cost 400 million shillings, the purchase of equipment for the building of emergency patients for 691 million shillings, the purchase of a CT SCAN machine worth one billion shillings and 810 million.
Dr. Alex, has explained that a modern X-RAY (Digital X-ray) was purchased, the value of which is 337 million, the purchase of equipment and the construction of a staff building for 90 million shillings, to pay for short-term contracts for employees where 14 million shillings were used, and the cost of training for employees due to the new equipment that was brought cost 28 million shillings and the repair of the X-ray building which cost 177 million shillings.
"This money has helped to a great extent in improving health services and returning the trust of the people to their government and for this I would like to sincerely congratulate the Ministry of Health for the very smart management and guidance that has enabled us to ensure that all funds are used for the work that was have been assigned by the ministry" said Dr. Alex Ernest, physician in charge of the referral hospital of Arusha Mount Meru region.
In addition to this great success at Mount Meru Regional Referral Hospital,
Dr. Alex has concluded by saying that the surgical service through the vents will begin immediately after the completion of the building to provide that service, and at the top he said that they had to start building an emergency service building for patients who need special care (VIP EMERGENCY) with the aim of serving international institutions and tourism people for Arusha is a tourism center and many international institutions are found in Arusha Region.
