GHANA LEARNS FROM MOUNT MERU HOSPITAL

A team of health professionals from Ghana has visited the Arusha Mount Meru Regional Referral Hospital and learned how it has made progress in providing quality health services to citizens based on the knowledge of 5s KAIZEN.

During their visit, the professionals have expressed their satisfaction with the way the Tanzanian Government has invested heavily in the health sector and increased the pace of providing quality health services to its citizens within the Arusha Mount Meru Regional Referral Hospital.

For his part, Mr. Mahmud Hammed Yusssif from Ghana on behalf of his colleagues has explained that they have arrived at Mount Meru Hospital with the aim of seeing and learning how the hospital has made great strides in providing quality health services to citizens through various knowledge of 5s KAIZEN.

“I am very happy to be here in Tanzania at Mount Meru Regional Hospital to witness how the staff of this hospital provide quality health services based on the knowledge of 5s KAIZEN and I congratulate all the staff, I have truly seen and learned a lot from them and they have greatly improved the provision of quality health services to the citizens”. Said Mr. Mahmud Hammed

Mr. Mahmud said that a lot of work has been done by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania at Mount Meru Hospital starting from the number of staff to provide services, the provision of quality health services, the availability of medical equipment and medicines and in investing in various structures to simplify health services.

And the Chairman of the quality management team at the Arusha Mount Meru Regional Referral Hospital, Mr. Kasembo Kurwa said that the team of experts from Ghana has been pleased with the health services provided by the Mount Meru Regional Referral Hospital and the way in which the hospital has continued to distinguish itself in providing quality services by taking into account all the principles and procedures provided by the Ministry of Health.

Mr. Kasembo concluded by saying that the Hospital continues to implement new strategies every day to ensure that it remains at a high level of providing quality health services to the public, including continuing to expand the scope of access to health services.
