Mount Meru and Hands Giving Lives to Organize Free Specialized Medical Camps

Mount Meru Regional Referral Hospital, in collaboration with the Hands Giving Lives organization from Türkiye, has organized free specialized medical camps for the public.

This partnership aims to reach citizens facing various health challenges and provide them with quality medical services at no cost, particularly those who cannot afford treatment expenses. The camps will offer essential services including ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeries, general surgery, reproductive health services, urological surgeries, as well as oral and dental care.

In addition, a representative from Hands Giving Lives, Ms. Hatice Ozdemir, paid a courtesy visit to Mount Meru Hospital and toured the operating theatres, where she witnessed significant improvements made by the Government to enhance healthcare service delivery.

Speaking on the partnership, the Acting Medical Officer In-Charge of Mount Meru Hospital, Dr. Kipapi Mlambo, stated that this international collaboration will serve as a catalyst for improving the provision of quality healthcare services, especially for low-income citizens.

“We believe that through this partnership, we will reach more people and provide specialized medical services free of charge. This is a positive beginning toward bringing meaningful improvements to the healthcare sector in Arusha Region,” said Dr. Mlambo.
